Volunteer

All club members have a mandatory volunteer hour obligation of 10 hours (per club member, maximum of 15 hours per family unit). Any hours not completed by two weeks prior to season end will be invoiced at a rate of $15/hour. 

*Annual Ice Show - A mandatory 1 hour of ice show setup/cleanup is required per family with a skater participating in the show

SISC has multiple volunteer opportunities throughout the season for members to satisfy their volunteer obligation. Openings will be posted on Entryeeze under the Volunteer tab. It is the responsibility of members to track their hours on Entryeeze (My Volunteer Hours).

U.S. Figure Skating's SkateSafe® program helps create a safe, positive environment for all participants by promoting athlete well-being, abuse prevention, and misconduct reporting. To support these standards, SISC requires all volunteers age 18 and older to complete SafeSport training before volunteering with the club.

• Club Ice Rink Monitor (non-skating) - Verify skaters are registered for the club punchcard session and assist when needed.
• Learn To Skate Check-in Table - Assist learn to skate members with getting their nametags upon arrival.
• Ice Monitor (on-ice) - Skating adult that monitors and assists in the practice area during Saturday Learn To Skate classes.
• LTS Lobby/Skate Assistant - Helps assist LTS skaters with skates (if needed) and where to go for classes
• LTS Craft Table (Under 18 can volunteer) - Setup, run, and assist with crafts during Learn To Skate Sessions.
• Various other opportunities that arise during the season!
